With the aim of providing a one of a kind experience that gives women in the agricultural sector tools to be empowered and be on an equal footing with their male counterparts, the Women In Farming Expo (WIFE) is drawing near.
The first ever agricultural expo that focuses on women in the agricultural sector founded by a young and enterprising, Pearl Ranna is slated for May 28 this year at Serokolwane lawns. The expo is expected to draw over 1500 women and 30 exhibitors.
While men will be allowed to visit, exhibiting in the farmers’ stalls will be reserved for women. Women participants will also take part in the “The Great Debate” and the expo will also feature an interactive element with workshops providing women with a ‘hands on’ approach to activities and topics of interest.
